Welcome to 2014!

Ni hao, kia ora and a gigantic g’day!

Welcome back to the awesomeness that is Harakeke Hub. We hope your holidays were amazing! What did you get up to? Leave a comment below telling us what you’ve been doing.

This year is going to be pretty special. We’ve got a lot of exciting, challenging, and fun things in store for you all. Here are a few things to do / think about before we catch-up on Monday morning:

Over the weekend, your parents will be emailed some important information, so make sure you bug them about it to find out who your whānau teacher is for 2014.

Check the What’s On over on the left hand side of the blog on Sunday so you can get an overview of the week.

When you come in on Monday can Year 3 and 4 students please use Mawhero touch-screen to sign in, and can the Year 5 and 6 students use the Kikorangi touchscreen.

Also, put your bags in one of the shared spaces (where the touchscreens are) as we will be sorting you out new cubby holes and tote trays. All of the teachers will be in the hub before school on Monday, we will show you what to do if you are a bit unsure.

Our new hub meeting place is no longer in Mawhero shared space, but rather in actual Mawhero in front of the data-projector. With over 90 kids we thought it might get a bit packed in there! So that’s where we will meet as a hub at 9:00am sharp on Monday.

And last but not least, Matt's got the new leaving song sorted - some of your parents might know it! It's called Closing Time

If you have any other questions, feel free to leave them as a comment and we’ll reply.

See you on Monday!
